Deus Ex: Human Revolution is present in three categories: Best RPG, Best Original Score and Trailer of the Year. We're facing some hardcore competition on all fronts, and it's an honour to be listed alongside titles that are sure to become classics.

Winners in most categories will be selected by the VGA Advisory Council made up of game journalists and industry insiders, but the public will have a voice in two categories, including Trailer of the Year. The soundtrack is now available for purchase through Sumthing Else Music Works, Amazon MP3, iTunes® and other digital music sites.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Original Soundtrack features 25 captivating compositions from the game’s original score composed by Michael McCann (ReGenesis, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, It's All Gone Pete Tong). Renowned for his ambient cinematic scores and emotional organic soundscapes in film, television and video games, Michael McCann’s original music reflects the dark and beautifully visualized world of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and enhances the game’s unique mix of stealth, action, and role-playing genres.

Here's what the composer had to say about the soundtrack: "There were close to 200 pieces of music created for the soundtrack for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and I’ve selected 50 of those cues to create the 25 arrangements on this album. Many of the cues are a mixture of different pieces of music from the game’s soundtrack, including alternate versions that were created for the various advertising trailers for the game. I have chosen these 25 to represent the arc of the game's story, drawing from the styles and ideas that make up the full soundtrack."

In this brand new section of the game, after being tortured by Belltower agents and having his augmentations disabled, Adam Jensen must rely solely on his basic capabilities to escape from a freighter, destined for an unknown location. While fighting for his survival on the ship, he uncovers another layer to the conspiracy that he never would have suspected.

The press was impressed. Writing for PC Gamer, Tom Francis said "It already feels fresh, substantial, challenging and fun."

Developed by Eidos-Montreal and published by Square Enix for game consoles and PC, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a prequel to the legendary Deus Ex. Set in 2027, Deus Ex: Human Revolution immerses players in a world where amoral corporations market biomechanical modifications that blur the boundary between man and machine. The player controls former SWAT commander Adam Jensen who has been forced to undergo cybernetic augmentations after a terrorist attack on Sarif Industries, the biotech company where he works as security chief.

"Deus Ex: Human Revolution presents the player with truly meaningful decisions in a unique and captivating game world." said David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive. "The degree of freedom it offers is extraordinary."
